This the first entry into a section I'll head as "Things I will needlessly complain about __#__". I'll number them so if for some bizarre reason I need to refer back to them I can.
This complaint is about failing body parts and random pain. I need to drop a bit of history first. About 5 weeks ago after returning from my 14 day vacation from Europe my ankle started to swell and hurt during the flight back. Upon finally arriving home it was pretty painful. I did what I've learned to do with such things, R.I.C.E. Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. The next day it was much better but not 100%. I bought a wrap for it and after two more days it was completely fine.
I hadn't really thought about it since, until now. After a 3 hour drive into the mountains it started to hurt a little. About five hours after arriving in Vail it was full blown pain. It seemed like it was worse than the time five weeks ago. R.I.C.E. The next morning it was no better. So a trip to a clinic happened. They weren't certain what was wrong, but the possible options are...
1) Random over use strained the ankle and it just needs rest.
2) Gout or pseudogout. The only test is to stick a needle in my ankle for a sample.
3) Arthritis. No cure or test to determine that for certain.
Upon their advice I went with option #1 and they gave me an ankle brace, ace wrap, and crutches (which seemed over kill).
This was two days ago. After as much R.I.C.E. as I can do while watching 2 twenty month old twin boys and 1 five year old boy it seems a little better. But it still stings and is swollen. Hopefully I can get more of a chance to stay off of it this weekend and it will heal.
So, wah. My ankle hurts. And I have documented my complaint about it.

The first post
My first post on my first blog. As cool as it would be to post something amazing this is really just a list of things to come and a brief introduction of myself.
I go by my middle name, Troy. I'm a father of three boys and have been married for 16 years. I am into film making, acting, martial arts, sword fighting, video games, RPGS, table top games, and much, much more.
My posts will cover my thoughts on those topics as well as bits of my philosophy and observations. The purpose of this blog is to give myself another avenue to be creative and hopeful entertain and maybe educate along the way.
I hope I can live up to those goals.
Until next time, take care of yourself.
